Project Update 8/5/2022
- Phase 2 (Cliff Avenue, Pam Road to 33rd Street) Concrete pavement repairs are complete. Contractor is finishing the ADA ramp improvements. Permanent pavement markings are expected to be applied next week. It is anticipated that this area will be complete and fully open to traffic before school begins on August 25th.
- Phase 2 (Cliff Avenue, 33rd Street to 26th Street) Concrete curb & gutter and fillet repairs, PCC panel and joint repairs, partial depth pavement repairs and accessible sidewalk repair work is currently in progress and will be ongoing over the next few weeks.
- Phase 5 (33rd Street Intersection) Concrete pavement full depth repairs and partial depth repairs are being worked on in the intersection. The contractor is also working on the ADA ramp improvements on the east side of Cliff Avenue at 33rd Street.
Commuter Route Information:
- Northbound lanes of Cliff Avenue from Pam Road to 26th Street are closed.
- Two-way traffic will be maintained head to head on the southbound driving lanes.
- At the 33rd Street intersection, currently the eastbound lane, east of Cliff Avenue is closed.
- Traffic is being maintained in the center turning lane and westbound lane.
- In the upcoming weeks, motorists should expect traffic control changes in this area as the contractor works on completing repairs in the intersection.
- At a minimum, one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times.
- Access to businesses will be maintained.

Project Summary:
This project will rehabilitate Cliff Avenue between East 26th Street and East Pam Road. Work will include full depth concrete patching, partial depth concrete patching, curb and gutter repair, sidewalk accessible curb ramp replacement, and pavement markings. This project will also update the pedestrian push buttons to accessible pedestrian signal push buttons. These APS buttons use audible tones to communicate when a pedestrian should cross the street.
