Ninth Annual Big Sioux River Water Summit Will Take Place on December 7, 2021
The public is invited to learn about water quality initiatives at the ninth annual Big Sioux River Water Summit. This year’s event is tomorrow, Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. This event is free and open to the public.
At this year’s Summit, participants will learn about the latest efforts to improve water quality in the Big Sioux River watershed, including some local and regional case studies on best management practices for stormwater and land use. Attendees will also learn how everyone in the watershed can get involved and play an important role in keeping our river clean.
The event will be capped with a keynote speech by SDSU associate professor Dr. Guanghui Hua on his current research into low-cost media filtration technology using recycled steel byproducts to remove E. coli from stormwater runoff.
