Lane Closure – Tenth Street

Beginning on Monday morning, October 18, 2021, the outside eastbound lane on East Tenth Street will be closed just west of Chicago Avenue, in front of Fire Station #5.

The City of Sioux Falls will be working on storm inlet repair.

This work is anticipated to be complete before the evening rush hour.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – Bluestem Street

Beginning on Monday, October 18, 2021, West 53rd Street from Marion Road to Bluestem Street and Bluestem Street from 53rd Street to Holbrook Avenue will be closed to traffic to allow construction crews to perform asphalt paving work. 

Weather permitting, 53rd Street and Bluestem Street are anticipated to be open by October 20, 2021.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and will want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – 14th Street

Beginning on Monday, October 18, 2021, West 14th Street will be closed between Spring Avenue and Summit Avenue to allow crews to perform sanitary sewer repairs. Traffic will be detoured to 13th Street.

Weather permitting, the repairs are anticipated to be complete within one week.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – Phillips Avenue

Beginning at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, South Phillips Avenue will be closed between Ninth Street and Tenth Street.

Howe Inc. will be using a crane to access a rooftop unit.
