Lane Closure – 41st Street from Purdue Avenue to Ellis Road
Beginning immediately on Thursday, June 10, 2021, the westbound lanes of West 41st Street will be closed from Purdue Avenue to Ellis Road to allow the City of Sioux Falls Street Department to repair concrete blowups. Westbound traffic should utilize Sertoma Avenue, 26th Street and/or 57th Street as an alternate route. Eastbound traffic will be maintained.
This work is anticipated to be complete by 9 p.m. June 10, 2021.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Street Closure— Eighth Street
Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, East Eighth Street will be closed to through traffic between North Phillips Avenue and North Weber Avenue. Through traffic will be detoured onto Sixth Street. Eighth Street will remain open to local traffic between Philips Avenue and the East Bank Depot.
The City of Sioux Falls and BNSF will be working jointly to replace the crossing surface of the Eighth Street railroad crossing near Weber Avenue.
The project is anticipated to be complete by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021.
