This notice provides the public an opportunity to examine and comment on the City of Sioux Falls’ 2020 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) and 2020 Summary of Programs for a period of 15 days. These documents provide an overview of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) in Sioux Falls for the year ending December 31, 2020. These reports will be submitted to the Denver Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) prior to April 30, 2021.
The Summary of Programs is available for review at the following locations: City of Sioux Falls Housing Division, 231 N. Dakota Ave.; Downtown Library, 200 N. Dakota Ave.; Caille Branch Library, 4100 S. Carnegie Cir.; Oak View Branch Library, 3700 E. 3rd St.; Prairie West Branch Library, 7630 W. 26th St.; and Ronning Branch Library, 3100 E. 49th St. The Summary of Programs and CAPER reports are also available online at siouxfalls.org/planning-dev/planning/affordable-housing.
We invite the citizens of Sioux Falls to submit comments regarding the performance of the CDBG and HOME programs. Low- and moderate-income persons, racial and ethnic minorities, persons of limited English proficiency, persons with disabilities, and female-headed households are especially encouraged to review and comment on the CAPER or Summary of Programs.
The 15-day comment period ends April 26, 2021, at 5 p.m. For additional information, please contact the City of Sioux Falls Housing Division at 367-8180 (voice) or 367-7039 (TTY for hearing impaired). People wishing to comment on the reports must do so in writing to the City of Sioux Falls Housing Division, 231 N. Dakota Ave., P.O. Box 7402, Sioux Falls, SD 57117-7402. Written comments must include the name and address of the person submitting the comment. A summary of the submitted comments will be included in the final report submitted to HUD.
The City of Sioux Falls Housing Division will hold a public hearing on April 19, 2021, at 12 p.m. at the City Center, Room 110, 231 N. Dakota Ave., to receive and discuss written comments. Accommodations for persons with disabilities will be provided upon request. Interpretive services for persons with hearing impairments or persons of limited English proficiency will be provided upon request. The facility is accessible for persons with mobility disabilities.
