Lane Closure – Phillips Avenue

Beginning on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at 6 p.m., the southbound lane of Phillips Avenue will be closed at 12th Street to allow crews to perform underground utility work. Access to businesses will be maintained. Southbound traffic on Phillips Avenue should utilize Main Avenue as an alternate route. Northbound traffic on Phillips Avenue will not be impacted.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closures – 41st Street

Beginning on Monday morning, August 24, 2020, the westbound lanes of 41st Street between Sycamore Avenue and Bahnson Avenue will be closed to allow crews to perform an asphalt overlay. Two-way traffic will be maintained utilizing the eastbound lanes. The closure will remain in place for approximately one day, then reversed with the eastbound lanes closed with two-way traffic maintained in the westbound lanes for approximately one more day.

Street Closures – Jasmine Trail

Beginning on Monday, August 24, 2020, Jasmine Trail between Bittersweet Lane and Ralph Rogers Road will be closed to allow construction crews to perform asphalt repairs.  Motorists should utilize Bittersweet Lane as an alternate route.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.

Street Closures – 51st Street

Beginning on Monday, August 24, 2020, 51st Street between Western Avenue and Grange Avenue will be closed to allow construction crews to perform asphalt repairs. Motorists should utilize Western Avenue and 41st Street as alternate routes.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.

Street Closure – Seventh Avenue

Beginning on Monday morning, August 24, 2020, Seventh Avenue will be closing between Benson Road and Hermosa Drive. Dig Right Excavation will be installing utilities and the work is expected to be done by the evening of Monday, August 24, 2020.

Street Closures – Lyncrest Avenue

Beginning on Monday, August 24, 2020, Lyncrest Avenue between La Quinta Street and 69th Street will be closed to allow construction crews to perform asphalt repairs. Motorists should utilize Avalon Ave and Minnesota Ave as alternate routes.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.

Street Closure - Bailey Street and Covell Avenue

Beginning on Monday, August 24, 2020, Bailey Street will be closed to thru traffic between the intersection of Bailey Street and Covell Avenue and Veterans’ Memorial Park.  Contractors will be performing water main repairs. Covell Avenue will also be closed at Bailey Street as part of this work. Access will be maintained to residences and businesses in this area. This closure is expected to last for two weeks.

This is the next phase of a project to reconstruct Bailey Street between West Avenue and Main Avenue. Improvements will include upgrading the water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, accessible curb ramps and asphalt surfacing. The project is anticipated to be complete by November 2020.

Street Closure – South Tomar Road

Beginning on Monday, August 24, 2020, South Tomar Road between East Plum Creek Road and East Tomar Court will be closed to allow crews to perform concrete repairs.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.
