Street Closure – Russell Street

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2020, Russell Street from Minnesota Avenue to Dakota Avenue will be closed. A traffic detour will in place.

The City of Sioux Falls Street Department along with the contractor will be applying a Slurry Seal. Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed by 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2020.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Harmodon Park Sidewalk Construction

Beginning on Monday, August 10, 2020, construction crews will begin work on replacing the existing sidewalk on the west side of Harmodon Park.

The project is expected to be completed by early November.

Park users are urged to use caution while near the construction area and stay out of the work zone.

Lane Closures - Cliff Avenue

Beginning on Monday, August 10, 2020, the outside northbound and southbound lanes of North Cliff Avenue will be closed between Chambers Street and Walnut Street to allow crews to perform concrete pavement repairs. The lane closures will shift from the outside lanes to the inside lanes as the work progresses. One lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times during construction.

All work is expected to be completed within two weeks with favorable weather conditions.

Lane Closure - Dakota Avenue

Beginning on Monday, August 10, 2020, the parking lanes on Dakota Avenue between 11th Street and 13th Street will be closed to allow construction crews to perform storm drainage repairs. Traffic will be maintained in both directions at all times for the duration of the project.

This work is expected to be complete in approximately three days.

Lane Closure – Dakota Avenue

Beginning on, Monday, August 10, 2020, the westernmost lane of Dakota Avenue will be closed at Tenth Street.

Wiltech will be performing utility work and is anticipated to be completed by the end of day on August 10, 2020.

Sanitary Sewer Repairs – Jefferson Avenue and Lyndale Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, sanitary sewer repairs will be performed on South Jefferson Avenue and South Lyndale Avenue between West Oak Street and West 33rd Street.

Traffic will be maintained around the repair areas, however, lanes will be shifted and narrowed through the work zone. Expect some intermittent road closures. 

Weather permitting the work is expected to take approximately two weeks.

Street Closure – 56th Street and Holbrook Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, the intersection of 56th Street and Holbrook Avenue will be closed to allow construction crews to perform asphalt repairs. Crews will also be completing various asphalt repairs along 56th Street. Motorists should utilize 57th Street, Marion Road, and 53rd Street as alternate routes.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed within one week.
