Lane Closure – West 57th Street

Beginning at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2020, the outside westbound lane of West 57th Street will be closed for approximately 300 feet to the west of Broadband Lane.

Wiltech Fiber will be performing utility work and anticipates a closure duration of approximately three hours.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – West 57th Street

Beginning on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, South Western Avenue will be closed from Oak Street to 31st Street. The City of Sioux Falls Street Department will be preforming asphalt repairs.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete by Friday morning, May 8, 2020.

Street Closure - Bailey Street

Beginning on Thursday, May 7, 2020, Bailey Street will be closed north of Veterans Memorial Park from east of Covell Avenue to west of Walts Avenue. Access will be maintained to businesses, and access to Veterans Memorial Park will be maintained through the entrance on Walts Avenue.

This is the first phase of a project to reconstruct Bailey Street between West Avenue and Main Avenue. Improvements will include upgrading the water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, accessible curb ramps and asphalt surfacing. The project is anticipated to be complete by November 2020.

Lane Closure – 57th Street

Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020, the outside eastbound lane of 57th Street will be closed between Caraway Drive and Batcheller Lane. Crews will be temporarily widening the road in advance of the reconstruction and resurfacing of 57th Street from Minnesota Avenue to Western Avenue.

One lane of traffic in the east bound direction will be maintained at all times.  Westbound traffic will not be impacted at this time. Drivers should remain alert to changing conditions while driving through the work area.
