New Online Tool Improves Access to Building and Permitting Data
On Tuesday, March 3, 2020, the City of Sioux Falls will be unveiling a new online tool that allows residents to track and review a wide variety of land use data and activities.
Neighborhood Connect is an innovative solution that allows residents a transparent view of developments in their neighborhoods or the city as a whole. Users can search and access land use information and set up alerts for new permits and applications within a radius area.
“This tool put residents in the driver’s seat by allowing them to customize notifications for plans and permits they want information about,” said Jeff Eckhoff, Director of Planning and Development Services. “This brings another level of transparency by providing timely notifications of proposed land use changes and new building plans to interested residents.”
Planning and Development Services and Innovation and Technology staff will showcase the features of Neighborhood Connect to the Sioux Falls City Council during its informational meeting at 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
The new tool will be available at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020, on the City of Sioux Falls website.
