City Accepting Neighborhood Project Grant Applications

Applications are now available for the 2020 local grant program for neighborhood associations.

The Neighborhood Project Grant provides funds to neighborhood associations to complete projects that enhance a neighborhood’s livability and involvement, collectively benefits the entire neighborhood, and promotes a strong sense of community. Projects may include neighborhood cleanups, identification signage, safety improvements, art, and boulevard trees to replace removed ash trees.

“We want to support neighborhoods to complete the types of projects that create a stronger sense of community,” Director of Planning and Development Services Jeff Eckhoff said.

Recognized neighborhood associations are eligible to apply for grants up to $5,000. One $12,000 grant is available for one large project. Small grants may also be awarded to help new neighborhood associations with start-up costs.
