Street Closure – 22nd Street

Beginning on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, West 22nd Street will be closed between South Sertoma Avenue and South Hyde Park Avenue.

The Street Division is performing road maintenance.

This work is anticipated to be complete within one week.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street and Lane Closures – 12th Street and Minnesota Avenue

Beginning on Thursday, June 6, 2019, the outside southbound lane of South Minnesota Avenue will be closed at 12th Street to allow construction crews to reconstruct West 12th Street. Two southbound lanes will be maintained by shifting traffic into the center turn lane.

In addition, West 12th Street will be closed from Minnesota Avenue to Spring Avenue. West 12th Street remains closed from Spring Avenue west of Summit Avenue.  The intersections at Duluth Avenue, Summit Avenue and Spring Avenue will be closed to through traffic.

This is the second phase of a project to reconstruct 12th Street between Minnesota Avenue and Summit Avenue.  Improvements will include upgrading the water main, storm sewer, accessible curb ramps and asphalt surfacing. 

This project is anticipated to be complete by the end of August 2019.

Lane Closures – 26th Street & Sycamore Avenue

Beginning on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the intersection of East 26th Street and South Sycamore Avenue daily between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. to allow crews to perform concrete pavement patching. The lanes closed within the intersection will vary daily as crews progress with the repairs, however, one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times while work is occurring. All lanes will be open to traffic between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week.
