Lane Closure – Marion Road Bridge

Beginning on Monday, July 29, 2019, the outside lanes of South Marion Road between West Silver Valley Drive and the entrance to Dunham Park will be closed to allow construction crews to do bridge deck repairs and bridge railing repairs. The inside lanes will remain open to traffic in each direction over the bridge on Marion Road.

This work is anticipated to be complete by early September 2019.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Southeastern Avenue - Sanitary Sewer Lining and Street Improvements

Beginning on Monday, July 29, 2019, the Sanitary Sewer Lining and Street Improvements Project work along South Southeastern Avenue will move to the east side of Southeastern Avenue from 41st Street north to Klondike Trail. Work from 49th Street to 41st Street will continue along the west side of Southeastern.

Traffic from 41st Street to Klondike Trail will be shifted to the west two lanes with one lane north bound and one lane south bound. Traffic from 49th Street to 41st Street will remain in place with two lanes north bound and one lane south bound.

This project consists of replacing sanitary sewer manholes and CIPP lining the existing sanitary sewer system from 41st Street to Klondike Trail.  Southeastern Avenue improvements from 49th Street to Klondike Trail include concrete curb and gutter patching, ADA compliant ramps, asphalt milling and asphalt overlay.

This work is anticipated to be complete by fall of 2019.

Road Closure – Vail Drive

Beginning on Tuesday morning, July 30, 2019, North Vail Drive will be closed at East Madison Street.  Motorists will be detoured using Vail Drive and Sycamore Avenue.\

First Rate Excavate will be performing utility work.

This work is anticipated to be complete by August 2, 2019.
