New Mobile App Makes It Easy to Engage City
Today, the City of Sioux Falls launched a new way for the public to engage with the City to resolve some of our common service requests. With the City of Sioux Falls mobile app powered by SeeClickFix, residents can submit requests to the City for pothole repairs, graffiti removal, and street light outages, just to name a few.
“The City is harnessing technology to better engage with residents,” says Jason Reisdorfer, Director of Innovation and Technology for the City. “Asking for help and resources from your City should be easy. With the OneLink, we’re making it easy and convenient to engage with the City.”
OneLink offers the public the ability to request service for numerous needs. Users can upload a photo from their mobile device and attach GPS coordinates with their submission along with a brief message. A City employee will reach out when the issue is scheduled for repair and/or has been resolved. Community is also built into the app as neighbors can see issues submitted by other users in their neighborhood.
“Thanks to the City’s new app, our maintenance crews will have faster access to problems throughout the city and better information to work off of,” says Mark Cotter, Director of Public Works for the City. “The photos and coordinates the app delivers let us know the severity of issues and help us address them quickly.”
The app is available for free for Apple and Android devices. Search for “City of Sioux Falls” in Google Play or Apple App Store.
