Gitchie Girl Authors to Introduce Latest Book at Two Siouxland Libraries’ Branches

Popular true-crime authors Phil and Sandy Hamman have written a follow-up to Gitchie Girl about the 1973 murders of four area teens.

Just released, Gitchie Girl Uncovered focuses on previously unknown information about the murders. “It’s going to give the readers an up-close look at the killers,” Phil Hamman told the Argus Leader noting that he was best friends with one of the victims and knew all of them.

The book also includes information from court records and interviews with the victims’ families and with investigators from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

Sandra Cheskey, the lone survivor of the event, will attend both events. She and the authors will sign books, which will be available for purchase following each event.
