Sioux Falls ReLeaf Website Launches
The Sioux Falls ReLeaf Project now has an online presence with the launch of www.sfreleaf.org. The site is a resource for those in the community who want more information on the ReLeaf Project and those wishing to make a donation to the reforestation of Sioux Falls. Those who have generously donated are listed on the site’s donor page.
Regional marketing agency Lawrence & Schiller graciously donated their time and talents to developing the website and ReLeaf branding.
“The ReLeaf Project has potential to help shape Sioux Falls’ landscape for the next several decades,” said Mayor Paul TenHaken. “The website will help us raise awareness and funds to beautify Sioux Falls and plant new trees throughout the city. A special thanks to Lawrence & Schiller for lending their branding and digital expertise to this effort.”
“We appreciate the Mayor’s proactive approach to addressing the Emerald Ash Borer and we’re proud to help raise awareness and keep Sioux Falls beautiful,” said Lawrence & Schiller CEO Scott Lawrence. “I encourage individuals and organizations in Sioux Falls to visit the website to learn more and donate to this critical cause that will benefit our community for generations.”
The ReLeaf Project, launched in November 2018, is an effort to raise private and public dollars to replenish the urban forest in the wake of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) threatening the local ash tree population. The City has set a fundraising goal of $2.5 million over the next five years. Dollars raised will support tree planting in the City’s parks system as well as a cost-share program designed to assist homeowners as they replant trees in their public parking strips.
