Exploring Themes in A Man Called Ove Embracing Generational Diversity

Generational diversity drives part of the storyline in Siouxland Libraries’ 2018 One Book Siouxland selection, A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. That prompted event organizers to offer a program at which readers of the book can explore generational differences and similarities on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the Downtown Library, 200 North Dakota Avenue.

The presentation, Embracing Generational Diversity by Rhonda Kemmis of Elite Leadership Consulting, will explore the typical characteristics and assumptions of the Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials. Her talk will focus on strengths and shortcomings of each and how we can work together to capitalize on each other’s strengths.
