Front Desk Attendant - Midco® Aquatic Center Job Opportunities

Rate: $16.00 per hour

The City of Sioux Falls Parks & Recreation Department is accepting applications for an Interim Front Desk Attendant at the Midco Aquatic Center. This individual will perform transactions through a point of sale system including daily and season passes, fitness classes and swimming lessons with a high level of customer service.  This individual will be responsible for answering the telephone and providing information to the public regarding events or programs held at the Midco Aquatic Center, admission prices and hours of operation.  This is a non-civil service 40 hours per week position with no benefits except access to the City of Sioux Falls’ health insurance program. 

Minimum qualifications include:

Graduation from high school or GED certification with and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a cashier or teller; or any such combination of education, experience, or training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

Individuals must be able to lift, move and carry up to 40 pounds; to make mathematical computations; observe and monitor fast-paced activities; have ability to speak clearly and have good interpersonal, diplomacy and listening skills.
