The Environmental Health Division promotes and protects public health and safety through the inspection and monitoring of: 

  • In-home daycare providers
  • Every retail food service (restaurant, cafeteria, convenience store, grocery store) within city limits  
  • Mosquito control
  • Code enforcement
  • Water testing, and more. 

Public Health also handles public health preparedness and community programs including Live Well Sioux Falls.
