The City Attorney’s Office provides the Mayor, City Council, and City officers, employees, and agencies with effective legal representation and opinions on City affairs, and prosecutes violators of the City Code of Ordinances. The City Attorney also performs other services required by law or directed by the Mayor or City Council.
The City Attorney’s Office cannot represent private parties or give them legal advice.
