Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation is proud to offer a number of activities to those ages 55 and up. Join us for fun, learning and great opportunities to meet new friends and make great memories.There is something here for you. Other activities include fitness/wellness, enrichment, educational classes and senior cards. FREE.


Track and field, golf, bowling, pickleball, and many more activities designed just for seniors are open for participation. Join your friends for fun, competition, and fellowship during the most active two days of the summer. Local competition leads to state and national games. The games also have groups for ages 40–44 and 45–50.

Fee: $10 for early registration; $15 after May 19. Bowling and golfing have additional fees that are payable at time of event.

This experience is for those who are not able to explore our beautiful trail system on their own. Golf cart tours will allow you to experience stunning views of the river, parks, and wildlife. You must be able to transfer independently. Light refreshments will be served. Preregistration is required for these limited-space tours. Call the Park Office at 367-8222 to register. FREE.

SEPTEMBER 7-10, 2017

The South Dakota State Senior Games will take place in Sioux Falls, September 7–10, 2017. This event draws 600 people from all over the state to Sioux Falls. The athletes, between the ages of 50–90 years old, will compete to qualify for the National Senior Games in 2018. There are more than 25 competitive events including basketball, softball, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, track and field, and many more.
