This mind-body workout incorporates movements based on elements of yoga, tai chi, and Pilates. The Hydrorider is a user-friendly water bike and is perfect for any participant or skill level. FAMILY PARK

Dog yoga! You guessed it! We will be off ering a nice and relaxing yoga session in partnership with Sanford Wellness, while our dogs choose to either participate or go play by themselves. This fun-filled class will focus on the basics of yoga while incorporating the outside environment at one of our many beautiful parks in town. This class will also be providing people-pet bonding time and a chance for dogs to socialize. Bringing your dog is preferred but not mandatory to attend class! All ages/levels welcome.

Water aerobics is a low-impact exercise. The expected resistance of the water against your body helps tone your muscles and increase your strength. Water aerobics is easier on your bones and joints than running, but still provides the benefits of an aerobic workout. If you have arthritis, are rehabilitating an injury, or just enjoy pool fitness classes, water aerobics can help improve your health.

Have you always wanted to learn how to line dance, but never had the time or opportunity? Join Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation along with Date Night Dance Company for an evening learning the basic movements of this enjoyable pastime. Line dance is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows, all facing either each other or in the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time. Come try it out for yourself and become the eye of the party next time you see a dance floor!

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation is excited to partner with SpokeN-Sport for this adventurous program. GLOW HIKE

GREAT BEAR RECREATION AREA AGES: 6+

Hiking in nature has been shown to be a powerful anxiety and stress reliever for people of all ages. This adventurous night hike is recommended for participants ages 6 and up that are able to hike at least one mile on sometimes uneven terrain. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Glow sticks will be provided, but a flashlight or headlamp is recommended. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring a water bottle. Registration required.

STAY STRONG: FUNCTIONAL FITNESS

This 60-minute Warm Water Pool class is designed to assist you in improving your strength and cardiovascular health. This light- to moderate-intensity class format combines body resistance and water exercise equipment with light to moderate aerobic exercise. During the 60 minutes of instruction, class participants will strengthen their major muscle groups as well as improve range of motion of all muscles and joints. Improvement of flexibility, balance, and stamina can be expected. The movements of cardio activity are diff erent for every class in order for your body to receive optimal benefit for your physical health!
