Forestry Division

The purpose of the Forestry division is to establish and maintain a safe and sustainable tree resource in the park system and oversee various City ordinances that apply to trees.

The Forestry Division operates the Project T.R.I.M. (Tree Raising Improvement Methods) program and has also been surveying the city for dead or diseased trees since the 1970s.

All tree complaints are investigated and acted on by the Forestry Division to maintain clearance heights over streets and sidewalks according to City ordinance.
