Siouxland Libraries’ Author Visit to Focus on History of Wine in SD

Since passage of the 1996 Farm Winery Bill, South Dakota has welcomed 30 vintners, including Strawbale Winery, Wilde Prairie Winery, and Belle Joli’ Winery.

Grapes, soil, climate, and process . . . Learn the history of wine making in South Dakota from the authors of South Dakota Wine: a Fruitful History. Denise DePaolo and Kara Sweet explore the heritage behind wine making from the harvests of the prairie, 3 to 4 p.m., on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Siouxland Libraries’ Caille Branch, 4100 South Carnegie Circle.
