Lane Closure – Louise Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019, the outside southbound lane of South Louise Avenue will be closed for several hundred feet to the south of West 49th Street.

Telcom Construction will be performing fiber optic repairs.

This work is anticipated to be complete by 4:00 p.m. on April 29, 2019.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – Elmwood Avenue

Beginning on Monday, April 29, 2019, South Elmwood Avenue will be closed between 26th Street and 28th Street.

Henry Carlson Company will be performing construction work.

This work is anticipated to be complete by the end of June 2019.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Ellis Road Reconstruction - 12th Street to Stoney Creek

Beginning on Monday April 29, 2019, Ellis Road from 12th Street south to Stoney Creek will be closed to all traffic. The intersection of Ellis Road and Stoney Creek will remain open for local cross traffic. Traffic will remain open between 41st Street and 26th Street during this work.

The work on Ellis Road is to be complete and open to traffic in early fall of 2019.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Intersection Improvements – 57th Street and Solberg Avenue

Beginning on Monday, April 29, 2019, construction will begin at the intersection of West 57th Street and Solberg Avenue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on 57th Street and Solberg Avenue.

This work will include widening the pavement section and constructing right turn lanes along 57th Street. Construction of dual left turn lanes for westbound to southbound traffic and construction of a single left turn lane for eastbound to northbound traffic at the intersection. The south leg of the intersection on Solberg Avenue will be widened to allow for dual left turn lanes for northbound to westbound traffic and a single right turn lane for northbound to eastbound traffic. Also, new traffic signals will be installed.

Lane Closure - Minnesota Avenue

Beginning on Monday, April 29, 2019, the outside southbound lane of North Minnesota Avenue, as well as the parking lane, will be closed between Second Street and Seventh Street to allow construction crews to replace the accessible curb ramps. Access will be maintained to Second through Seventh Street at Minnesota Avenue during this work.

This is the first phase of a project to upgrade the ADA accessible curb ramps and sidewalk at select intersections along the West 41st Street, South Western Avenue, and North Minnesota Avenue corridors.

Work at this location is anticipated to be complete in approximately two weeks.

Additional updates will be provided for future phases, however, drivers should expect outside lane closures along these corridors throughout the summer.

Lane Closure - Terry Avenue between 41st Street and 43rd Street

Beginning on Monday, April 29, 2019, Terry Avenue will be closed between 41st Street and 43rd Street. The intersection of 43rd Street and Terry Avenue will remain open.

Work will include the installation of new water main and asphalt surfacing.

This work is anticipated to be complete by the end of May.

Lane Closure – 41st Street

Beginning on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, the outside eastbound lane of West 41st Street will be closed between Sheldon Avenue and Holly Avenue to allow construction crews to replace the accessible curb ramps. Access will be maintained to Holly, Sheldon, and all businesses during this work.

This is the next phase of a project to upgrade the ADA accessible curb ramps and sidewalk at select intersections along the West 41st Street, South Western Avenue, and North Minnesota Avenue corridors.

Work at this location is anticipated to be complete in approximately two weeks.
