Community Dashboard Launches

As part of a continued effort to provide easily accessible information to the public, the City of Sioux Falls has launched a community dashboard featuring key performance indicators.

Available at siouxfalls.org/dashboard, the public and media can easily find statistics such as the sales tax growth, population, permit information, and public safety. Each data point also has a “More Info” link to dig deeper into the information.

“Our goal is to provide timely information to the public that they can easily access at any time on our website,” said Jason Reisdorfer, Director of Innovation and Technology. “Open data and easily accessible information for public consumption is a priority of the City, and this is just another way we can better engage the public on their City government.”

Initially launching with ten data points, more data points will be added over time based on public, media, and stakeholder feedback as well as frequently requested information. Information on the dashboard is updated regularly.

The City also hosts an Open Data site at siouxfalls.org with a large variety of information across all departments of the City.
