Lane Closure – Minnesota Avenue (Revised)

Beginning on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, crews will be performing a mill and overlay project on North Minnesota Avenue between Seventh Street and 11th Street and will be phased as described below:

The morning of October 2, 2018, traffic will be shifted into the two innermost lanes of Minnesota Avenue. In the afternoon will be shifted into the two outermost lanes of Minnesota Avenue.

The morning of October 3, traffic will be shifted to the east half of Minnesota Avenue.

The morning of October 4, traffic will be shifted to the west half of Minnesota Avenue.

On October 3 and 4, the intersections of Eighth Street and Ninth Street will be closed alternately with the Tenth Street intersection.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Closures – 41st Street

Beginning on Friday, September 28, 2018, the outside eastbound lane of West 41st Street will be closed between Hawthorne Avenue and West Avenue to allow construction crews to replace the accessible curb ramps. Hawthorne Avenue will be closed at 41st Street during this work, however, West Avenue will remain open. Access to businesses will be maintained.

This is the next phase of a project to upgrade the ADA accessible curb ramps and sidewalk at select intersections along the West 41st Street and South Minnesota Avenue corridors.

Work at these locations is anticipated to be complete in approximately two weeks. Additional updates will be provided for future phases, however, drivers should expect outside lane closures along these corridors until November.

Street Closure – Career Avenue

Beginning on Monday, October 1, 2018 North Career Avenue will be closed between West Nobel Street and West Benson Road.

Soukup Construction will be performing utility work.

This work is anticipated to be complete by the end of day on October 11, 2018.
