Board Vacancy—Visual Arts Commission
Mayor Paul TenHaken has announced a vacancy to the Visual Arts Commission.
The commission supports and encourages development of visual art for community buildings and spaces through its role as an advisory body to the Mayor, City Council, and other City government officials. Membership must include a diverse mixture of citizen representatives of the community, a member of the board of directors of the Sioux Falls Arts Council, and a practicing visual artist. We are currently seeking applications for an at-large member.
The Commission is composed of seven members that are appointed for a three-year term by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. Monthly meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. at various locations.
