Downtown Library to Host Summer Reading Kick-Off
Kick off Siouxland Libraries' Summer Reading program with an evening of fun on Friday, June 1, 2018, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Downtown Library, 200 North Dakota Avenue.
Entertainment will include the Hanson Family (five kids, two parents) who perform gravity-defying unicycle tricks and the “Juggling Tornado of Doom.” There will be water games, rock-painting, and more.
Teens can see if they have what it takes to break out of a Stranger Things escape room. It will be first-come, first-served, with onsite sign-up for groups of four. There will be two food trucks, so families can make an evening of it or head out for other First Friday events.
Sign up for the Summer Reading Program at the event or any Siouxland Libraries branch.
The Libraries Rock music-themed Summer Reading Program runs Friday, June 1, through Tuesday, July 31, 2018. For more information, go to www.siouxlandlib.org.
