Reading Bridge Book Drive at Siouxland Libraries

Siouxland Libraries invites community members to encourage kids to continue reading this summer by donating gently used children’s books to the Reading Bridge Tutoring Program at branch libraries.

The books will be distributed to children in grades K–5 who participate in Reading Bridge, which helps maintain literacy skills during the summer months.

New and like-new books―picture books, learn-to-read books, chapter books, fiction novels, poetry collections, biographies, classics, and nonfiction books―can be donated at any Siouxland Libraries branch from Tuesday, March 20, through Friday, April 20, 2018. Textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, CDs, DVDs, or videos will not be accepted.

The goal is to collect more than 1,000 books to be distributed at tutoring sites.
