Structure Fire At 6108 West Golden Place

At 7 a.m. on March 2, 2018, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 6108 West Golden Place.

The first-arriving truck found smoke coming out a window of the structure. Crews made entry into the building and found smoke and a small fire in the structure. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue personnel extinguished the fire in approximately five minutes. Fire crews immediately established ventilation to remove the smoke in the building.

There were no injuries on this incident.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 18 personnel, 4 fire trucks, and 2 support vehicles. The fire’s cause is still under investigation.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would like to thank the Sioux Falls Police Department, Paramedics Plus, MidAmerican Energy, and Xcel Energy for their assistance.

The building did not have a residential sprinkler system. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would like to remind residents to have working smoke detectors and a practiced escape plan in the event of a fire emergency.
