Foss Avenue Reopened

Beginning today, Wednesday July 25, 2018, South Foss Avenue, south of Arrowhead Parkway is reopened to traffic. This closure was part of the ongoing Arrowhead Parkway reconstruction project.

This project is anticipated to be complete by late fall of 2018.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Garfield Avenue Closure

Beginning on Thursday, July 26, 2018, South Garfield Avenue will be closed from 16th Street to 18th Street to allow construction crews to reconstruct the street. Concurrently, Garfield Avenue from 15th Street to 16th Street will be reopened to local traffic. Traffic on 18th Street will not be impacted by the work at this time.

This is the next phase of a project to perform street and utility improvements on Garfield Avenue between 15th Street and 18th Street. Improvements will include upgrades to the water main, sanitary sewer, accessible curb ramps, new concrete curb and gutter, new asphalt surfacing, and installation of new LED street lights.

This project is anticipated to be complete by late August.

Street Closure – Broadband Lane

Beginning on Thursday July 26, 2018, South Broadband Lane will be closed from approximately 200 feet south of west 57th Street for 100 feet. Traffic will be detoured onto south Solberg Avenue.

Runge Enterprises will be performing utility work.

This work is anticipated to be complete by the end of day on August 2, 2018.
