Workshop for Parents: Creating Better Readers
Helping their children to become better readers is a goal of parents and caregivers everywhere. But how? Most of us have little idea where to begin.
There’s help this summer! Barb Wigg, a certified reading specialist and director of the Reading Bridge Program, will explain how to enhance the effectiveness of reading at home with school‑age children. She’ll share her knowledge at several one-hour workshops for parents. The program is offered at five Siouxland Libraries branches as follows:
