Pets Caught Reading: Siouxland Libraries Celebrates National Pet Month

Siouxland Libraries is observing National Pet Month with a photo contest and support of the Sioux Falls Humane Society’s Pet Supply and Food Drive. Both run May 1 through 31, 2018.

Photogenic pets (and whose isn’t?) will be the focus of Siouxland Libraries’ Pets Caught Reading contest. Take a photo of your pets “reading,” “listening” to an audiobook, or “using” library digital resources and message our Facebook page, attaching the photo. Include your name, contact information, and your pet’s name. Only pets’ names will be published. Submission of a photo grants Siouxland Libraries permission to use the photo on its Facebook page.

Photos will be accepted through May 31. One fan favorite will be chosen to win a prize. Vote online June 4–8 at www.siouxlandlib.org.

Those wishing to help the Humane Society may drop off donations at all City locations (Caille, Downtown, Oak View, Prairie West, and Ronning) through May 31. Ask a Librarian for a list of needed items.
