Program to Explore Themes of Grief in One Book Siouxland’s A Man Called Ove

Grief over the death of the title character’s beloved wife, the loss of his job, suicide attempts, and subsequent anger are major plot elements of A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman, 2018’s One Book Siouxland selection.

Using themes of the book, Dr. Marcie Moran, founder of the Center for Grieving and Loss and director of Catholic Family Services, will explore the grieving process and how to cope with loss. Her program will take place on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Downtown Library, 200 North Dakota Avenue.

If an ADA accommodation is needed, please contact the Human Relations Office at 605 367 8745 (voice), 605-367-7039 (TTY), or at least 72 hours before the event.
