Siouxland Libraries Invites High School Applicants for Internship Program
Siouxland Libraries invites applicants for its Inclusive Internship Initiative (III), funded by the Public Library Association (PLA). The program is designed to introduce young people from diverse backgrounds to careers in librarianship.
The paid, mentored summer internship at Siouxland Libraries is 1 of 50 nationwide for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Each intern will engage with multiple facets of library life, from administration to programming to user services, while also completing a connected learning project on behalf of Siouxland Libraries.
Applicants must be able to travel to Washington, DC, on June 14–16, 2018, and to Chicago, IL, on September 28–30, 2018, for PLA meetings.
