Alcohol Compliance Check

On Monday, April 2, 2018, the Sioux Falls Police Department conducted an alcohol compliance check in the northwest area of the city. Officers checked 26 businesses with off-sale alcohol licenses. Of the 26 businesses checked, only 2 failed and sold alcohol to a person under the age of 21.

The businesses that failed the compliance check were Food-N-Fuel at 2505 West Russell Street and Thrifty Smoke Shop at 5101 West 12th Street. The clerks were issued a summons for furnishing alcohol to a person 18–20 years old and given a court date.

In an effort to protect the young people in our community, the SFPD will continue to conduct random alcohol compliance checks.
