Best-Selling Local Author to Speak at Siouxland Libraries

Sioux Falls native Sam Kean, the author of three best-selling books about science, will be at the Downtown Library, 200 North Dakota Avenue, on Monday, September 11, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

He’ll talk about his fourth just-released publication, Caesar’s Last Breath―Decoding the Secrets of the Air Around Us. Like all his books, it discusses scientific discoveries in a narrative style.

A BookPage review by Allison Hood describes Kean’s latest work as “a rollicking, zigzag romp through the science of air…”  Kean now lives in Washington, D.C., and his writing has also appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Mental Floss, Slate, Psychology Today, and The New Scientist.

The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Books will be available for purchase.

If an ADA accommodation is needed, please contact the Human Relations Office at 605 367 8745 or at least 72 hours before the event.
