Enter Your Float in Mayor Huether’s 4th of July Parade!

The City of Sioux Falls is seeking entrants for the 4th of July Parade to help celebrate our nation’s birthday. Local businesses, civic organizations, military groups, marching bands, clubs, and others are encouraged to participate. Online registration closes at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017. Walk-up entries will be taken the day of the event.

“This always has been one of my favorite events of the year. This is my final 4th of July Family Parade & Picnic as your Mayor, so let’s make this year’s parade the best ever!” says Mayor Mike Huether.

Parade entry check-in is at the intersection of Main Avenue and Tenth Street at 8:15 a.m., and the parade starts at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4. A free picnic at Falls Park will take place at 11 a.m. Last year’s parade was a huge success with nearly 90 entries and a crowd of more than 5,000 people.

Children are invited to decorate their bicycles and participate in the event. Lineup for child entrants begins at 9:30 a.m. near the parking ramp at 13th and Main Avenue. No preregistration is necessary for kids’ entries.

Parade entrant registration and other event information is available at www.siouxfalls.org/july4.
