Dog Bite at Sertoma Park

Animal Control responded to a dog bite that occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Sertoma Park located at 4500 South Oxbow Avenue. A teenage boy was walking the trails with a friend when he encountered a tan pug-type dog with a black nose. The pug was being walked on a leash by two men and a woman, but the dog was able to break free from them and bit the boy on his thigh. The boy did speak with the owners briefly but he did not get their contact information.
