—Board Vacancy—Siouxland Libraries Board of Trustees

Mayor Mike Huether has announced an upcoming vacancy to the Siouxland Libraries Board of Trustees.

The responsibilities of the Board include establishing library-specific policies, providing citizen input and recommendations for administrative actions to the Library Director and governing bodies, and advocating for library services to meet the needs of the community.

Members of the Bboard include four citizens appointed by the Mayor and City Council, one citizen appointed by the Minnehaha County Commission, one liaison from the Minnehaha County Commission, and the Library Director. Appointees may serve a three-year term or complete an unexpired term.

The Board meets on the second Wednesday of odd-numbered months, at 4:30 p.m. at one of the Library Branches.
