On Monday, March 20, 2017, at 6:23 p.m., Sioux Falls Police, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, and Paramedics Plus were dispatched to an injury accident at West 41st Street and South Grange Avenue. The investigation revealed a motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on West 41st Street. A four-door sedan was westbound on West 41st Street at South Grange Avenue and turned southbound (left) onto South Grange Avenue. The right side of the motorcycle ran into the back of the sedan and the driver of the motorcycle was thrown from the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the sedan sustained no injuries. The speed of the motorcycle was the contributing factor to this accident.
