Stabbing Investigation

On Sunday, March 5, 2017, around 4 a.m., officers from the Sioux Falls Police Department responded to the area of South First Avenue and East 15th Street for a report of a stabbing at a residence. A male subject was located with a stab wound and was transported to a nearby hospital for his injuries. The investigation is ongoing and there is no threat to the public at this time.

Update: The Sioux Falls Police Department is saddened to report that the victim in the case has died as a result of the injuries sustained during this incident. The continued investigation by the Sioux Falls Police Department has led to the arrest of Brady Richard Holter, a 25-year-old Sioux Falls resident. Mr. Holter has been arrested for 2nd Degree Murder and 1st Degree Manslaughter. The victim in this case is a 27-year-old Sioux Falls resident. The victim and Mr. Holter were known to each other.
