STI Numbers a Concern in Sioux Falls: News Conference on Thursday

What:     Falls Community Health and the South Dakota Department of Health will host a news conference to talk about rising rates of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the community and efforts to raise awareness and focus on prevention.

Dr. Lon Kightlinger, State Epidemiologist, South Dakota Department of Health
Vanessa Sweeney, Clinical Services Manager, Falls Community Health
Why: STIs (also referred to as Sexually Transmitted Diseases, or STDs) are a public health concern because they are a communicable disease. The news conference will present information on the rising rates of STIs in an effort to raise awareness and discuss the prevention of STIs.
