Local Artists Help Raise Awareness About Water Quality
|What:||News conference to announce the 2017 Storm Inlet Painting Project|
|When:||Monday, June 26, 2017
|Where:||Sidewalk on the east side of the Downtown Library on Main Avenue|
|Who:||Jessica Sexe, Sustainability Coordinator
|Why:||Many people are unaware that the City’s storm drainage system is separate from the City’s sanitary sewer system. Last year, the City launched a new water quality awareness campaign by partnering with local artists and organizations to paint messages about water quality on downtown storm drain inlets. This year, five more inlets have been painted as part of the campaign.|
|Visuals:||A map showing the locations of all of the new inlets as well as a painted inlet will be onsite at the news conference.|
