A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash with a pickup. A 1985 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on North Fourth Avenue. A 2011 Nissan Frontier pickup was stopped on East Maple Street waiting to go through the intersection. The pickup driver did not see the motorcycle and pulled out in front of it. The motorcycle struck the driver’s side front quarter panel and vaulted over the truck. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. Through the initial investigation, speed and alcohol/drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. The truck driver is a 25-year-old Sioux Falls man and the motorcyclist is a 49-year-old Sioux Falls man.
