—Board Vacancies—Plumbing Board of Appeals and Examiners

Mayor Mike Huether has announced two vacancies to the Plumbing Board of Appeals and Examiners.

The mission of the Board is to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions, or determinations made by the plumbing official relative to the application and interpretation of the code, licensing determinations, and to examine applicants for licensing.

The Board is composed of a qualified representative of Sioux Falls Public Works, a mechanical engineer, two licensed master plumbers, and one licensed journeyman plumber who are qualified by experience and training to pass upon matters pertaining to plumbing design, construction and maintenance, and the public health aspects of plumbing systems and the Uniform Plumbing Code. Board members are appointed to a three-year term by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. Meetings are held on an as-needed basis.

Applications are currently being accepted for a licensed journeyman plumber and a mechanical engineer.
