Dog Bite on West Lobelia Street
Animal Control responded to a dog bite that occurred at approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017, in the 7000 block of West Lobelia Street. A young boy was riding his scooter on the sidewalk and when he passed a leashed dog, the boy was bitten on the hand. The dog was being walked by two young white females and one white male, all approximately 17–20 years of age. The dog owners did speak with the child’s parents, but no contact information or rabies vaccination status was provided.
The dog is a lab and shepherd mix that is all tan with a brown snout and medium length hair. The dog was wearing a silver chain collar and it weighed approximately 40–50 pounds. The man who was with the dog had short blonde hair and he was wearing black framed glasses, a white shirt, and khaki pants. Both females were wearing light-colored shirts and had blonde hair tied back in a ponytail. The owners and dog walked into the area of West Snapdragon Street before witnesses lost sight of them.
