Five Outdoor Ice Rinks to Reopen

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation announces that all public outdoor ice skating rinks and warming houses, with the exception of Sherman Park, will reopen at 4 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017, and will remain open as weather and ice conditions allow.

The outdoor ice rinks schedule will be as follows:

Fridays  4–9 p.m.  
Saturdays  1–9 p.m.  
Sundays  1–8 p.m.  
Mondays-Thursdays  4–8 p.m. 

The outdoor ice rinks are located at:

Campus Park
26th Street and Summit Avenue 
Memorial Park
26th Street and Sertoma Avenue 
Frank Olson Park
16th Street and Grandview Avenue  
Sherman Park
15th Street and Kiwanis Avenue
McKennan Park
21st Street and Third Avenue  
Tuthill Park
South Cliff Avenue, southeast of I-229

Each ice rink has a warming house, limited concessions, vending, and skate rentals available. Skate rental prices are: youth ages 17 and under—$1; adults ages 18 to 54—$3; and seniors ages 55 and older—$2. Children 6 years old and younger must be accompanied by someone 16 years old or older.
