Lane Closure –West 37th Street and South Spring Avenue

Beginning on Tuesday morning, September 5, 2017, the westbound lane of West 37th Street will be closed between South Spring Avenue and South Minnesota Avenue and westbound traffic will be shifted into the eastbound left turn lane. The northbound lane of South Spring Avenue will also be closed for 150 feet to the north of West 37th Street.

Friessen Construction will be replacing driveway approaches and anticipates completion by the end of the day on September 12, 2017.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

South Highline Avenue Closure

 The closure of Highline Avenue south of Arrowhead Parkway scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 31 has been rescheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.

Beginning on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, Highline Avenue south of Arrowhead Parkway will be closed to complete a watermain connection. Access to Highline Avenue north of Arrowhead Parkway will be maintained. Crews are expected to have Highline Avenue south of Arrowhead Parkway reopened to traffic within a few days. This work is part of the ongoing Arrowhead Parkway reconstruction project.

Phase 1 of this project is expected to be fully open to traffic by late fall of 2017 with additional work between Highline Avenue and Sycamore Avenue occurring in 2018. The overall project is scheduled to be complete by late fall of 2018.
