Structure Fire: 3100 Block of North Starr Place

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue units responded to a structure fire at approximately 7:45 this morning, Thursday, August 24, 2017. Crews arrived to find a single-wide mobile home with significant fire present. The fire was extinguished approximately 15 minutes after arrival. There were no occupants present in the structure. A neighboring home was evacuated and also received heat-related damage. There were no civilian injuries and no firefighters were injured on scene.

There were four fire trucks and four fire support units on scene for a total of 20 Sioux Falls Fire Rescue personnel on scene. Sioux Falls Police and Paramedics Plus were also on scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
